The Heart of Our Food: Why Supporting Local Matters

Food always tastes better when it has a story behind it — and for us, that story almost always begins right here in Newbury, Thatcham, or somewhere nearby in West Berkshire.

At Colline’s Kitchen, we don’t just buy ingredients. We work with people — farmers, shop owners, butchers, bakers and small makers who put their whole hearts into what they do. They’re the reason our menus taste the way they do.

Whether it’s the freshest herbs from a local grower, beautiful cuts of meat from Griffins, or seasonal veg from a family-run farm shop, the relationships we’ve built over the years are part of the flavour on every plate.

Supporting local means:

  • you’re investing in real families

  • you’re strengthening our community

  • you’re helping small dreams stay alive

  • and you’re keeping beautiful, handcrafted produce on all our tables

It’s something we’re incredibly proud of — and something we’ll always make central to our catering.

If you know a local business we should discover, tell us! There’s always room in the community for more love and connection.
